As reported by AreaNapoli, Mohamed Ali Zoma is being monitored by several clubs, including Napoli.
The 22-year-old looks set to be the next big thing out of Nürnberg, having moved there last summer from AlbinoLeffe.
The versatile forward has soon climbed the ranks at the Zweite Bundesliga club and is now an indispensable part of their first XI, having also been chosen by Italy boss Roberto Mancini as part of his young core of players to rebuild the team at the national stage.
Capable of playing both centrally and out wide, Zoma has been deployed mostly on the left this season. He already has seven goals this season from nine appearances; last season he managed 14 from 29.
TUTTOmercatoWEB reported earlier in the summer that Nürnberg had received offers close to €20 million for him in the final hours of the transfer window, but they wanted more and are expected to at least demand €30 million for his services.
Napoli have Zoma on their sights, but they don’t have a free aim at him. Within Italy, they face competition from Roma, while in the Premier League Brentford and Bournemouth have emerged as potential destinations, with Hull City and West Ham having been interested in him in the summer.
Big season ahead for Zoma
In recent seasons, Nürnberg have gained reputation for being an ideal place for budding forwards, with Can Uzun and Stefanos Tzimas being two of their recent promising exports.
Given the way ended last season as well as the manner in which he has started this one, along with the fact that he is an Italy international now, it is highly unlikely Zoma will remain at the club beyond this season. He may even be poached by one of his suitors in January, something Brighton did with Tzimas before loaning him back for the rest of the season.
