Moussa Diaby is expected to be sidelined for Bayer Leverkusen until after the November international break.
Die Werkself confirmed on Monday that the 27-year-old winger sustained a thigh injury during Sunday’s 3-0 Bundesliga defeat to TSG Hoffenheim.
Loïc Badé was also forced off in the same game after colliding with an opponent and has been diagnosed with a concussion and a laceration.
The French centre-back underwent a thorough neurological examination on Monday, with Leverkusen hoping to have him back in action as soon as possible.
Leverkusen’s next fixture is a DFB-Pokal clash against 1. FC Nürnberg on Wednesday.
