A frankly alarming statistic surrounding the ongoing woes of Real Betis star Antony in front of goal has come to the fore online this week.
This comes as the Brazilian continues to struggle with his endeavours in the final third.
Real Betis, as a collective, are fresh off what has been a thoroughly impressive opening to the new campaign, sitting 4th in La Liga, and 5th in the Champions League table.
Wide-man Antony has played a prominent role along the way, with nine starts to his name between domestic and European competition.
Along the way, however, whilst his teammates have thrived in attacking areas, the former Manchester United man has toiled. In fact, Antony is yet to open his account in front of goal for the 2026/27 season.
Safe to say, though, that this is not owing to a lack of trying…
As revealed by ‘StatMuse’ on ‘X’, Antony is the player with the most shots in both Europe’s top-5 leagues and the Champions League without finding the net this term.
