Stade Rennais head to Turin tonight in what is their biggest challenge so far in this season’s UEFA Europa League. Thus far, Rennes have one win and one draw in the competition. Speaking to Get French Football News, Charlie Cresswell (23) outlined the Breton club’s objectives in the competition.
The former England youth international said that participating in European competition was part of the draw at Rennes. Tonight’s match against Juventus is the highlight fixture in their ‘League Phase’ draw. Speaking ahead of it, Cresswell outlined the objectives. “There are no limits. He added, “[We have] such a good team here, good staff. Yeah, it’d be stupid to put limits on ourselves.” In what is the first European campaign of Cresswell’s young career, he is not just there to make up the numbers.
