Arsenal set sights on Club Brugge goal machine Nicolo Tresoldi

Arsenal are considering a January move for Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi.

Viktor Gyokeres is struggling for regular game time under manager Mikel Arteta, who has been using Kai Havertz in a makeshift centre-forward role.

Arsenal are keen to sign a new striker and have identified Tresoldi as a potential option.

The German under-21 international has emerged as one of Europe’s hottest attacking talents.

He made headlines after scoring a sensational hat-trick to lead Brugge to a dramatic 4-3 victory at Inter Milan last week.

The 22-year-old also scored when his side lost 3-2 to Aston Villa last month.

Tresoldi has registered nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this season.

His strong form has sparked interest from top European clubs, including Barcelona and the two Milan clubs.

Arsenal may have an advantage in negotiations with Brugge for Tresoldi.

The two clubs have a positive working relationship after concluding a £35m deal for Christos Tzolis this summer.

The Belgian Pro League club rejected a £30m bid from Roma in August, and the striker’s price has since increased to approximately £42m.
