Arsenal are considering a January move for Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi, per The Sun.
Viktor Gyokeres is facing an uncertain future at the Emirates Stadium.
The Sweden international is struggling for regular game time under manager Mikel Arteta, who has been using Kai Havertz in a makeshift centre-forward role.
Arsenal are keen to bring a new striker and have identified Tresoldi as an ideal option.
The Germany under-21 international has emerged as one of the hottest attacking talents in Europe.
He made headlines after scoring a sensational hat-trick to lead Brugge to a dramatic 4-3 victory at Inter Milan last week.
The 22-year-old was also on the scoresheet when his side lost 3-2 to Aston Villa last month.
Tresoldi has registered nine goals in 12 appearances across all competitions this campaign.
His excellent performances have sparked interest from top European clubs, including Barcelona and the two Milan clubs.
Arsenal look to have an advantage in negotiations with Brugge for Tresoldi.
The two clubs have a positive working relationship after concluding a £35m deal for Christos Tzolis in the summer.
The Belgian Pro League club rejected a £30m bid from Roma in August and the striker’s price has since increased to about £42m.
