The brass at La Liga giants Real Madrid have already made the call to reinforce two areas of the club’s first-team ranks with a view to the 2027/28 campaign.
This comes with those in a position of power in Spain’s capital still not satisfied with the options at the disposal of new head coach José Mourinho.
Real Madrid of course enjoyed a busy summer on the incoming front, adding the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Marc Cucurella and Yan Diomandé to a squad already packed with talent.
The early weeks of the new season, though, have already culminated in a pair of defeats for Los Blancos. And in the eyes of Florentino Pérez and co, such woes can be attributed, to at least some extent, to a lack of suitable personnel.
As per a report from Fichajes, citing transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano:
‘Whoever ends up arriving, everything indicates that, in the summer of 2027, Real Madrid will have two clear objectives:
to reinforce the midfield and the centre of defence.’
