Olympique de Marseille will be without midfielder Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg (31) for two weeks after he sustained an injury while away on international duty.
It hasn’t been a good international window for Marseille, who have lost several players to injury. Derek Cornelius, injured while away with the Canada national team, is not expected to feature again in 2026 after sustaining a hip injury. Amine Gouiri and Himad Abdellli also sustained injuries; it is unclear whether they will keep them out of the game against ESTAC Troyes this weekend.
Hojbjerg came off during the game against Wales after just 10 minutes. Tests undergone back in Marseille revealed a thigh injury, which, L’Équipe understands, will keep him out for around two weeks. He will not only miss the game against L’ESTAC, but also those against SCO Angers, Olympiacos and Sturm Graz. It is poor timing for OM, who lack depth in more or less every position but particularly in midfield.
