It has been confirmed that Leon Goretzka will leave Bayern Munich when his contract expires, but his next destination remains unclear.
According to Bild football chief Christian Falk, Arsenal have a “strong chance” of signing the midfielder if the London club decide to make him an offer.
The 31-year-old is reportedly targeting a Premier League club competing in the Champions League, making Arsenal a strong fit.
Tottenham, Inter, AC Milan and Juventus have also been linked with the German international.
Germany coach Julian Nagelsmann recently backed Goretzka to play an important role at the World Cup despite the midfielder’s limited and inconsistent playing time at Bayern this season.
