Former Mainz talent Brajan Gruda was tight-lipped when discussing Bayern Munich’s interest before his move to Brighton.
“There was interest at the beginning, of course. But I can’t say more than that,” explained the 21-year-old to Sky Germany.
However, Gruda went on to discuss the goals he has set for his career and clearly considers the Bavarian giants as a dream future club:
“My biggest dream is to play in the Champions League and for the national team. I want to play for a top club like Bayern, Real, Barcelona or Liverpool.
Prior to his Premier League transfer, Gruda made 31 appearances for Mainz in which he provided 4 goals and 3 assists.
Although Bayern weren’t prepared to match the €31.5million bid from Brighton, it’s clear Gruda hasn’t rules out playing for Bayern one day.
