Ahead of this evening’s Bundesliga fixture against Borussia Mönchengladbach, Westphalia’s Ruhr Nachrichtennewspaper has Borussia Dortmund personnel updates to furnish. RN reports that BVB professionals Julian Brandt and Marcel Sabitzer are back fit in time for the match while centre-backs Aarón Anselmino and Waldemar Anton remain out. With respect to the presence of recently disciplined youngsters Julien Duranville and Cole Campbell, there’s also an interesting update.
RN claims that there’s been a split decision from the BVB coaching staff when it comes to the two players who reportedly haven’t been putting in enough effort on the training pitch. Duranville – who may have played his last game for the cub – will not be reinstated. Campbell, meanwhile, will be part of Niko Kovac’s matchday squad. Campbell still hasn’t featured on the first team since a brief relief appearance on matchday three.
Dortmund head into this evening’s Bundesliga matchday 15 curtain raiser hoping to conclude their 2025 calendar year on a high note. Thus far, Dortmund have won only one of their four competitive fixtures in December. A loss against Bayer Leverkusen ensured their elimination from the DFB Pokal while a draw against Bodø-Glimt in the Champions League placed their European campaign under strain.
