According to Sky Germany, Borussia Dortmund have offered the services of out-of-favour winger Julien Duranville to Borussia Mönchengladbach in the past few days.
The 19-year-old winger is currently not getting game time at BVB and is most likely seeking a departure this winter. Head coach Niko Kovac understands the player’s frustrations, but also explained that the squad is incredibly competitive right now:
“We’re at BVB and BVB has some really good players. He is, too, but the others are better.”
Despite Dortmund offering the player to Gladbach, it’s unlikely that Die Fohlen will take up the offer. This is down to several reasons, but most likely wages and prioritising other areas in the winter transfer window.
Interest From Other Bundesliga Club?
Despite Gladbach’s lack of interest, Werder Bremen are a club looking at a possible move for the winger.
Duranville has only made 27 competitive appearances for BVB in two and a half years. This is partially down to injuries as well as the competition within the squad.
Having signed from Anderlecht for €8.5m, Duranville’s current market value as per TransferMarkt is still at the same price.
