Amine Harit is back for a second consecutive loan spell at Marseille, but it’s likely he’ll stay permanently after the season this time around. Schalke did everything possible in the summer window to get Harit’s €5.5 million salary off their books, as the clubs agreed to split his wages for the year.
If Harit makes 15 competitive appearances for the French side this season, Marseille will have an obligation to purchase the midfielder for €5 million. Once this takes place, according to Bild, Schalke will owe Harit €1.5 million due to the 25-year-old’s contract extension in 2019.
The Morroccan international only needs to make 10 more appearances before Schalke profit over €3.5 million from this looming transfer.
