Germany U21 coach Antonio di Salvo explained that BVB striker Youssoufa Moukoko twisted his neck and it was agreed he would immediately return to Dortmund. The extent of the injury is currently unclear.

di Salvo stated that, “We have a test match and don’t want to take any risks. Youssoufa is an important player for BVB, so after consultation with Edin Terzic, we have decided that he will leave.”

Moukoko played the full 90 minutes in their loss to France on Friday, as he leaves the national team with RB Salzburg youngster Nico Mantl, who has an illness.
