VfL Wolfsburg has suffered another setback in its search for a new sporting director, as reported by Kicker.de.
Marcus Mann has decided to stay with Hannover 96, with the 41-year-old confirming his decision with BILD: “Yes, that’s correct.”
Supervisory board chairman Martin Kind had already blocked a move, but now Mann has also personally declined the offer from Wolfsburg.
Previously, after tough negotiations, the transfer of Andreas Schicker, who is currently in charge at TSG Hoffenheim, fell through.
Among the candidates being mentioned for the vacant position is Johannes Spors who is currently with EFL side Southampton.
