Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund winger Karim Adeyemi may not actually be so interested in staying at the club beyond the summer.
Adeyemi is represented by agent Jorge Mendes, and the Portuguese ‘super agent’ has been in talks with Dortmund over extending his contract at the club beyond 2027; however, the winger is interested in a release clause, which die Schwarzgelben are reluctant to include.
Now, the 23-year-old’s agent has held talks with Manchester United and initial talks with Inter over a potential move in the summer.
The Dortmund winger’s off-field issues:
However, in the past few days, most of the news surrounding Adeyemi have been about his off-field activities.
The 23-year-old was recently found in the illegal possession of brass knuckles as well as a taser. Germany head coach Julian Nagelsmann and DFB Sporting director Rudi Völler have already spoken to the Dortmund winger, but the club have also yet to speak to Adeyemi about the issue.
Adeyemi will have to pay a fine of €450k, according to Bild.
