Liverpool head coach Arne Slot has moved to reveal his appreciation for the talents of Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr.
This of course comes as the Reds go through their final preparations in the hopes of keeping the Brazilian’s impact to a minimum on Tuesday night.
Drawn on the talents of Los Blancos’ star winger during his pre-match press conference this evening, Arne Slot explained:
“Vini Jr is a truly exceptional footballer. Fast as lightining, amazing in 1v1 duels, can dribble past 3, 4 players in a row.”
Wide-man Vinícius will for his part head into tomorrow’s action at Anfield no doubt desperate to make a telling impact.
Real Madrid, as a collective, made short work of Valencia this past weekend, to the tune of a 4-0 triumph.
En route to as much, though, the 25-year-old failed to get in on the action with either a goal or an assist, and was also responsible for fluffing his lines from the penalty spot during the first-half.
This made it four straight outings without a direct goal contribution for Vinícius.
