According to a recent report from Sky Germany, Bayern Munich have targeted Feyenoord’s Givairo Read and opened talks to sign the 19-year-old defender.
After Feyenoord’s 3-1 home win over FC Volendam at the weekend, Read reflected on the reported interest from the German champions.
“It’s nice to see and experience such things,” Read told Voetbal International about the attention.
“It doesn’t distract me. I’m still at Feyenoord, and my focus is on Feyenoord. That’s all I’m focused on.
“There are some jokes – everyone notices, and sometimes they even speak a bit of German to me at the club. Do I let it bother me? Not at all.”
Read and Feyenoord will face a German side next, taking on Stuttgart in the Europa League on Thursday.
