Eintracht Frankfurt have been dealt a double blow – Elias Baum will be sidelined for the next few weeks and Nnamdi Collins currently ill.
The Hessen club announced that right-back Baum has a thigh muscle injury, which will keep him out “until further notice”.
Baum, despite his excellent loan spell with SV Elversberg last season, at hasn’t played at all for Eintracht Frankfurt in 2025/26.
A winter exit is therefore a conceivable option, although the 19-year-old’s contract with the Frankfurt metropolis runs until 2028.
As for Collins – a mainstay in Dino Toppmöller’s side – he has left the German U-21 setup with a head cold and returned to Frankfurt.
Collins will hope to be back to full health in time for Frankfurt’s clash away to SC Freiburg on Sunday, 19 October in Breisgau.
