PSG midfielder Fabian Ruiz (29) will miss out on Les Parisiens’ away trip to Lille OSC for Ligue 1’s Matchday 7 this Sunday. The Spaniard pulled out of PSG’s away win over Barcelona during the second half with an apparent adductor injury. The Champions League winners have confirmed that the Euro 2024 winner has picked up an injury and will be treated until further notice.
Ruiz is the latest PSG player to be sidelined over a muscle injury as the strain of the Club World Cup continues to take its toll on Luis Enrique’s squad. PSG barely had a week of preseason until their UEFA Super Cup tie against Tottenham Hotspur. Six of the eleven starters in PSG’s Champions League final 5-0 hammering of Inter Milan are currently sidelined, taking Ruiz into account.
João Neves, Désiré Doué and Ousmane Dembélé are continuing their rehabilitation process. The Ballon d’Or winner is currently at Doha’s Aspetar clinic. Club captain Marquinhos and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia are also expected to make their return after the October international break.
