Bayer 04 Leverkusen will have to manage without Axel Tape for many weeks.
Die Werkself announced on Friday that the 18-year-old is expected to be out until after the international break in November due to a muscle tendon injury.
The Frenchman suffered the injury in Wednesday’s 1-1 draw with PSV in the Champions League.
Tape joined Levekrusen on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain during the summer.
He has made six appearances for the German Bundesliga club so far.
