Jamie Vardy set to come to Serie A as deal is reached with Cremonese

Leicester City legend Jamie Vardy is going to be the latest to travel the booming Premier League to Serie A road, as TMW is reporting that a deal has been reached between the free agent and newly promoted Cremonese. The deal is of 1 year and will have the option of an extra year.

Vardy is now 38 and has had pretty much the perfect career, traversing from the lower leagues in England to the top of the Premier League with Leicester City. He spent 500 times for the Foxes, scoring 145 times in the Premier League, a tally that puts him 14th in the all time scoring charts. It was at the end of last season, with Leicester getting relegated again, that Vardy decided it was time for a new adventure.

This new adventure shall be with Cremonese, who albeit newly promoted, have already shown that they pack a punch. In the first two games, they have beaten Milan and Sassuolo and sit 2nd in the division. Vardy is a signing that will bring them goals as well as attention from across the world. Interestingly, another Serie A club Genoa had almost agreed a deal for him earlier this summer, but it was cancelled by manager Patrick Vieira.
