Barcelona summer signing set to face former club in Champions League

A member of the summer recruitment list at La Liga champions Barcelona is facing an altogether swift reunion with his former employers in this season’s Champions League.

The player in question? Roony Bardghji.

Barcelona are of course fresh off discovering their opponents for the league phase of this season’s Champions League campaign.

After coming within a whisker of a place in the competition’s finale in 2024/25, the Blaugrana will this time round be forced to contend with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Newcastle United.

Also pencilled in for a showdown with the Spanish champions are Danish giants FC Copenhagen.

And owing to as much, the aforementioned Roony Bardghji is in line to take on the club whom he left for Catalunya’s capital mere months ago.

Winger Bardghji, despite having not yet taken to the pitch in Barcelona colours owing to registration issues, is expected to be afforded a place in the club’s Champions League squad over the weeks ahead.
