He won 4 Bundesliga titles, 1 UEFA Supercup, 1 FIFA Club World Cup and 2 German Supercups in his 5 seasons with the Bavarians.
With his bags packed for his new club Galatasaray, Leroy Sané gave his final post-match interview after the Flamengo game.
The 29-year-old said the emotions hadn’t really sunk in as he answered the medias’ questions and reflected on his time at the Bavarian club.
“Of course it is tough [to leave], I have played five years for this team. It’s a long time, it wasn’t just like two short years.
“At the end, we all tried our best to achieve the most [titles]. That didn’t happen [last season] but I think the club is still strong
“I had a great time here, with ups and downs. Now that time is over, and I haven’t really realized it yet,” Sané added.
The German international also willed his teammate Jamal Musiala to take his No.10 shirt and wished the club many future successes.
“I hope he [Musiala] wears it. I’d be happy about that and he still has some big things ahead of him.
“This squad has already achieved a lot and they will achieve more. I think how the future looks is strong. They built something good this season.
“I hope they will keep working on it and be successful in the future. I wish Bayern all the best; because they deserve it,” he explained.
