Borussia Mönchengladbach trainer Daniel Farke confirmed on Wednesday that Alassane Plea’s abductor issues will sideline him through the coming international break.
With regard to the playing prospects of Nico Elvedi, Farke noted that there was “a small chance” that the Swiss center-half could be fit in time for Sunday.
Left-back Ramy Bensebaini has some experience playing in the center. Youngster Luca Netz could take the Algerian’s place. Mamadou Doucouré has been called up to senior squad training from BMG II, possibly to see his first top-tier action since the 2019/20 campaign.
