Sport Bild reports that former Bayern Munich prospect Arijon Ibrahimovic could feature for FC Heidenheim next season. The 19-year-old talent is headed back to the Bundesliga record champions following a failed loan stint at Lazio Rome. Ibrahimovich – who does maintain an estimated market value of €4m – has also been linked with a move to his hometown club of FC Nürnberg.
Heidenheim have been actively trying to secure two loan deals for Bayern talents this summer. Unfortunately the Ostalben Swabians missed out on Croatian youth international Gabriel Vidovic. Attempts to secure a second loan stint for German-Austrian talent Paul Wanner also appear unlikely to pan out. Stuttgart have probably outpaced Heidenheim in the Wanner race.
Ibrahimovic made only one brief relief appearance for Lazio in the Serie A this spring. His much more successful Serie A loan stint with Frosinone Calcio during the 2023/24 campaign could not be replicated. Given that the versatile 19-year-old attacker stands little chance of breaking into FCB head coach Vincent Kompany’s squad, another loan counts as a given.
Ibrahimovic remains under contract with the German giants through 2027.
