Barcelona star Marc-André ter Stegen has been left heavily affected by the club’s treatment of him over recent weeks.
That’s according to Diario AS, who have on Monday provided an insight into the situation.
Ter Stegen has of course seen his future in Catalunya’s capital thrown into serious doubt with a view to next season.
Almost out of the blue, the German has been made surplus to requirements in Hansi Flick’s squad, following the signing of Joan García, and with a contract renewal on the cards for Wojciech Szczęsny.
Barcelona, in turn, are actively pushing their long-time no.1 towards the Camp Nou exit doors.
And safe to say, the behaviour of those behind the scenes at the Camp Nou amid the saga has not gone down well with Ter Stegen himself.
As per a report from AS, in fact:
‘He is hurt by the club’s handling of the situation but forced to come to terms with it.’
