Serie A giants Milan are set to lose Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City in the next few days and they now have to plan for life without the Dutchman.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported about the situation and reveal that while a move for Luka Modric is close, he is not seen as a replacement for Reijnders. That is because of question marks about his physical attributes.
Beyond the Croatian, a key target is Max Allegri’s former favourite Adrien Rabiot, who impressed under the Italian during their time together at Juventus. There is a clause in the midfielder’s contract worth €10 million that can be exercised and it will make things easier for Milan to sign him.
Rabiot’s relationship with Allegri means that an attempt will be made for a transfer. Matteo Guendouzi is also a potential target and the report states that he can arrive if only a move for Rabiot does not take off in the summer.
