A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona has been all but ruled out of the club’s upcoming meeting with Inter Milan.
That’s according to Barca insider Javier Miguel, who points towards Jules Koundé as the player in question.
Stopper Koundé was for his part in from the off once more this evening, as Barcelona welcomed the aforementioned Inter to Catalunya’s capital for the first leg of a Champions League semi-final tie.
Late in the first-half of a 3-3 draw, however, the Frenchman was forced into a premature departure from proceedings.
After going to ground with what appeared to be a muscular concern, Koundé was quickly hauled off, replaced at right-back by Eric García.
As much marked an understandable concern for Barcelona, ahead of next week’s return leg against Inter at San Siro.
All of a Blaugrana persuasion, in turn, will no doubt be worried by the latest word stemming from Hansi Flick’s camp late on Wednesday.
As per Javier Miguel of Diario AS:
‘Koundé has a hamstring injury. He’s virtually ruled out for the return leg in Milan.’
