A tricky buy-out clause coupled with the start date of the FIFA Club World Cup is complicating BVB’s intentions with Carney Chukwuemeka.
After a period on the sidelines, Chukwuemeka has become a fan favourite of late with a string of impressive performances.
According to BILD however, Borussia Dortmund must activate the €35million purchase option before the Club World Cup starts in the USA.
Chukwuemeka’s parent club Chelsea have already offered Dortmund a reduced buy-out option and won’t negotiate any lower.
Die Schwarzgelben risk entering a game of poker for the 21-year-old Englishman with the London club.
