Having spent the last eight years at RB Leipzig, Kevin Kampl could see himself extending his contract, which expires next year.
“I haven’t thought about what will happen in 2026,” the central midfielder told Kicker.
“I will certainly sit down with the club at some point. Leipzig has become my second home and everyone knows how much I appreciate the club and the city,” Kampl continued.
The 34-year-old added that he could “well imagine” staying at the club after his playing career, but that he isn’t thinking about hanging up his boots just yet.
“I’m not at the point where I have to think about ending my career,” Kampl said.
