The wait seems to be officially over:
Joshua Kimmich and Bayern Munich seem to have finally found a total verbal agreement on a new contract which is reported to run until June 2029.
The whole Bayern board was involved in the disussions surrounding a new contract for Bayern’s midfielder. Speculations about his future have been at an all time high in the last few days and forced both parties to come to a conclusion and find a solution.
Other clubs showed a lot of interest in signing Kimmich, PSG have reportedly even sent a concrete contract offer to Bayern’s number 6 – now he seems to have decided to agree to Bayern’s offer.
The Bayern bosses, mainly Max Eberl and Christoph Freund, publicly spoke about Kimmich as the future captain of Bayern Munich, following in Manuel Neuer’s footsteps – this scenario now seems more realistic than ever.
