Cup favorites Bayer Leverkusen will be away at third-tier club Arminia Bielefeld in the last four. Meanwhile, RB Leipzig’s underfire coach Marco Rose will face a tricky trip to VfB Stuttgart as Sebastian Hoeneß’s side gets another home tie.
3. Liga’s fifth-placed side knocked out three Bundesliga clubs in their historic run to the cup semi-final. Mitch Knait, who is younger than Xabi Alonso, will be hoping to secure a first Pokal final for Bielefeld.
Recent two-time champions Leipzig lost in both of their last two trips to MHP-Arena. The Swabians last won the cup in 1996-97 when Krasimir Balakov, Fredi Bobic and Giovane Élber were in their ranks.
