Following his €9 million move from Olympique Lyon in January, Gift Orban has already shown what he’s capable of for Hoffenheim, scoring four goals in seven Bundesliga appearances so far.
In an interview with Kicker, the 22-year-old says he is happy with his first few months as a Hoffenheim player.
“My job is to score goals. And when I score, it gives me confidence. When you’re new to a team, it takes a bit of time. You have to adapt to a lot of things and I’m getting better at that now,” said Orban.
With Hoffenheim sitting in 14th place, seven points above the relegation zone, Orban could be a crucial factor in their bid to avoid the drop.
“Every coach, every team is different and I try to adapt to that. I want to fight every game here and give my best. I think about the club first, our position, which we want to improve, and then I think about myself.”
