Ole Werner’s current contract as Werder Bremen boss expires in 2026, but the club are keen to tie him down to a longer term deal.
That’s according to Bremen-based outlet Deichstube, who reports that the Bundesliga outfit are keen to extend his contract.
The ball is now in Werner’s court, with Bremen bosses having given the coach and his representative a “clear declaration of intent” some time ago.
“Ole is constantly improving the team and the every single player,’ said managing director Clemens Fritz at Werder Bremen’s annual general meeting in November.
“He almost always sets them up perfectly and has established a clear playing philosophy.”
Werner, 36, has been in charge of Werder since November 2021.
The Green-Whites currently sit 10th in the Bundesliga.
