Bayern Munich’s Mathys Tel has officially joined Tottenham on loan for the rest of the season.
The deal includes an option to buy, reportedly worth a fixed €55 million plus €5 million in add-ons.
Last week, Bayern confirmed that Tel wanted to leave the club before the end of the transfer window in search of more playing time.
Tel reportedly turned down an initial approach from Tottenham, but after Bayern’s negotiations with Manchester United broke down, the Frenchman has now landed at Spurs after all.
He has scored 16 goals and laid on seven assists in 83 appearances for Bayern since joining from Stade Rennes for a reported €20 million in 2022.
