Real Madrid and Spanish football legend Sergio Ramos is set for an imminent return to the game.
This comes amid confirmation that the defender has agreed on the terms of a contract with Mexican outfit Rayados.
Ramos, for his part, has not played in a competitive setting since last season, following the expiration of his contract terms with La Liga outfit Sevilla.
The 38-year-old, though, the ultimate professional, has spent his time away from the pitch maintaining fitness in case of a fresh offer.
And, as alluded to above, this weekend, such efforts on Ramos’ part have borne fruit.
As per a report from transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the iconic stopper has put pen to paper on a pre-contract with Liga MX side Rayados:
‘Sergio Ramos to Rayados, here we go! Pre-contract signed today, he’s set to travel to Mexico for formal steps.’
An official announcement on the part of Rayados is expected to follow in short order.
