Thierry Henry has backed Real Madrid forward Karim Benzema to win this year’s Ballon d’Or.
The former Barcelona player says the debate over who should win the award is over following Real Madrid’s Champions League triumph on Saturday.
“I just wanted to say something for France Football or whoever is voting. Close the votes, Benzema won it. Bye,” Henry said after covering the final in Paris for CBS Sports.
Benzema ended the season with 44 goals in all competitions and finished as the top scorer in both La Liga and the Champions League, winning both competitions.
