Borussia Dortmund’s managing director for sport, Lars Ricken, has spoken out in support of head coach Nuri Sahin and sporting director Sebastian Kehl.

Borussia Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin and sporting director Sebastian Kehl have both come under fire for the club’s inconsistent performances this season.
But at Borussia Dortmund’s annual general meeting on Sunday, managing director for sport Lars Ricken expressed his full confidence in them both.
“We trust our team and our coach. We have a top coach in Nuri. And he gets better with every difficult situation,” Ricken said of Sahin.
He would like to see Sebastian Kehl extend his contract beyond 2025.
“We want to continue on our path with Sebastian Kehl,” emphasized Ricken.
“It is my great desire to develop something. We were very unanimous in our squad planning.”
The Black and Yellows are currently fifth in the Bundesliga table following their 4-0 win over Freiburg.
