Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick considers a member of his midfield ranks as a potential stand-in option at full-back.
That’s according to Diario Sport, who point towards Marc Casadó as the player in question.
Youngster Casadó has for his part of course played a starring role for Barcelona across the early months of the new campaign.
Taking full advantage of an injury crisis in the Blaugrana’s engine room, the 21-year-old has gone on to establish himself as one of the first names on the team sheet of boss Flick.
And yet, as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then Casadó could yet find himself tested in a new role in the not-so-distant future.
As per Sport, owing to his impressive defensive characteristics, the Spanish international is considered a legitimate option at full-back:
‘In addition to seeing Casadó in Flick’s midfield, the coaches also believe that the Catalan can play at right-back if necessary in a game to rest (Jules) Koundé.’
