Borussia Mönchengladbach failed to score in a 0-0 draw with RB Leipzig on Saturday evening in the Bundesliga. About the lack of goals, Tim Kleindienst feels his side should have done better.
Tim Kleindienst himself was unable to get on the scoresheet despite having three shots.
It was definitely a game of two halves with Gladbach taking the first and Leipzig the second.
However, with players like Alassane Pléa also having three shots and failing to hit the back of the net, Kleindienst suggested in an interview with Sky Germany that his side were “wrestling with their chances”.
He added: “It is good, however, in our view that we did not lose this game and took a point. With this, we can be happy.”
Lastly, he said: “It was clear that a period of pressure would come. We just didn’t know that it would last fourty minutes (referencing the second half).”
Kleindienst will hope to restart his scoring streak in the Bundesliga following a two week period without a goal against St. Pauli in two weeks time.
