Vincent Kompany was pleased with the win and the performance against Benfica, even if Bayern Munich only scored once.

With 74 percent of the possession and a 24-1 advantage in goal attempts, Bayern Munich completely dominated their Champions League match against Benfica on Wednesday.
In the end, the Bavarians only won 1-0, but that didn’t bother Vincent Kompany much after the game.
“We always expect the best from this team. It’s important to win like this sometimes. Of course we would have preferred to score 3, 4 or 5 goals. But we always stayed calm,” the Bayern coach told DAZN in a post-match interview.
“We took a lot of shots, it wasn’t always dangerous, but we controlled the opponent. It was a good Champions League game and a good win,” Kompany concluded.
