Nadiem Amiri has praised Vincent Kompany for the impact he has had since taking over as Bayern Munich coach.

On Wednesday, Nadiem Amiri and Mainz face a tricky task when they take on Bayern Munich in the DFB-Pokal.
So far this season, the 28-year-old midfielder has been very impressed with what he’s seen from the Bavarians.
“You get the feeling that Bayern are back, that Bayern are dominant again. They’ve had a good start to the league so far,” said Mainz’s Nadiem Amiri in an interview with ran.
“You definitely have respect for Bayern again. They have a really good team.”
A compliment that could also be seen as a sly dig at the way Bayern played under Thomas Tuchel before Vincent Kompany took over as coach in the summer.
If Mainz are to upset Bayern, Amiri believes they “have to be brave with the ball, brave against the ball, aggressive and give everything.”
“We all have to give 120 percent on the day to achieve something.”
