BVB would prefer to receive €15 to €20 million for their center-back, but Inter Milan are unwilling to pay this much. Dortmund have previously asked for a price of €30 million for the 27-year-old. Akanji has fallen out of favor in Germany, as Niklas Sule, Nico Schlotterbeck and Mats Hummels are ahead of him on the depth chart.
The Swiss international has also reportedly scared off potential clubs due to salary demands. Per Sport1, Akanji required €13 million per year for a possible move to Juventus.
Akanji earns less than €6 million in his contract that expires in 2023.
