Long-term injured Bayern Munich defender Josip Stanisic has resumed running training.

Josip Stanisic has taken a big step forward in his recovery from the lateral knee ligament injury he suffered in August.
Bayern Munich have confirmed that the Croatian defender completed his first running session since the injury at the club’s training ground on Monday.
Stanisic started Bayern’s first game of the season – a 4-0 win over Ulm in the DFB-Pokal – before suffering the injury that has kept him out of action ever since.
He spent last season on loan at Bayer Leverkusen, with whom he won the German championship.
He signed a new long-term contract with the Bavarians after the end of last season, tying him to the club until 2029.
