Bayern Munich have reportedly made a positive start to contract extension talks with Jamal Musiala.
Bayern Munich and Jamal Musiala have started talks about a contract extension, according to AZ and Sport Bild.
AZ claims that the parties had a positive conversation in Munich last week, with the parties having the same goals for the future.
“He is to be the face of FC Bayern in the future,” Bayern board member for sport Max Eberl recently emphasized.
Bayern will certainly have to offer Musiala a bumpy pay rise to convince him to extend his contract beyond 2026.
His annual salary is currently estimated at €9 million, which doesn’t reflect his role, as the club’s top earners earn more than twice as much.
Musiala has scored three goals and provided three assists in six games this season.
