Zlatan Ibrahimovic made an explosive remark during his first meeting with Milan boss Paulo Fonseca.
According to the details revealed by La Gazzetta dello Sport via Milan News, Milan’s club advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has shared a lukewarm relationship with new head coach Paulo Fonseca since the Portuguese manager’s appointment was confirmed.
The Swedish veteran questioned Fonseca’s achievements in the coaching sphere and asked him: “Who did you coach?”. This remark sparked an internal controversy amongst the Rossoneri headquarters and the slow start to the new season further deteriorated the relationship between the two.
Despite leading Milan to a win over Venezia, Fonseca has failed to make an impression at the club and the derby with Inter this weekend is set to be the deciding factor for his future. The Rossoneri were crushed by Liverpool earlier this week in their Champions League opener but the club wants to wait till the Milan derby to make a final call on their coach.
