An up-and-coming member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Barcelona is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
As much was announced on Friday evening, with the player in question coming in the form of Diego Kochen.
For those not familiar with his name, Kochen is an 18-year shot-stopper, who has long been making a name for himself as a potential star in the making in Catalunya’s capital.
Despite his tender years, the starlet has already been called up to senior duty by his home country of the USA, featuring on a pair of occasions for Barca Atlètic over the early weeks of the new season, too.
In turn, it will come as a blow for club and player alike to hear that Kochen is in line for an upcoming spell out of action.
As per a statement across the social media platforms of Barca Atlètic:
‘The goalkeeper of Barça Atlètic, Diego Kochen, has an injury to the hamstring of his left leg. The approximate time off will be around four weeks.’
