Multiple reports claim RB Leipzig have agreed a deal to bring back Timo Werner from Chelsea, with the German international expected to go through a medical tomorrow before signing his contract with ‘Die Roten Bullen’.
Werner is set to return to his former club on a permanent deal, and apparently he’s not as expensive as first thought.
According to Sky Germany, the Bundesliga outfit are paying a guaranteed transfer fee of €19.5 million plus bonus payments to sign the 26-year-old.
Chelsea put €53 million on the table to bring Werner to Germany two years ago. Since then, the German international has struggled to nail down a starting berth in London, scoring 23 goals in 89 games.
