Returning Atlético Madrid star João Félix was targeted by the club’s supporters in nothing short of ruthless fashion on Saturday evening.
Félix, for his part, is back in the thick of things with Atlético late tonight.
As much comes with the Portuguese international, after being reintegrated into Diego Simeone’s squad over the last couple of weeks, having been reintroduced to the club’s starting XI, too.
Atléti are currently locked in action, in a pre-season friendly meeting with La Liga rivals Getafe.
Félix, meanwhile, was named as a starter, joining Ángel Correa in a throwback front-two.
Safe to say, however, that his presence was not at all well received by the Rojiblancos faithful in attendance at the Estadio Coliseum…
With Félix having evidently not yet been forgiven for his behaviour whilst on loan at Barcelona last season, the 24-year-old, upon taking to the pitch to warm up, was targeted with chants of:
“This Portuguese is a son of a b**ch!”
